THE CONSTRUCTED LANDSCAPE, 2015

The Constructed Landscape looks to investigate the simultaneous deconstruction and construction of a landscape. My photographs heavily reference Robert Smithson’s non-sites and the idea of “ruins in reverse.” These ruins are temporary in construction’s nature, but the moments before architecture is introduced display a complementary addition to the preexisting landscape. The unique spaces draw attention and attraction to the landscape it exists within, but the architectural result will ultimately act as a divide between man and land.
